The Men’s Bali 10-Ball Open will take place from September 28 until October 5 at the Bali International Convention Centre, as the Predator Pro Billiard Series returns to Indonesia.
A total of 128 players will compete in the $150,000 tournament in the Emerald of the Equator, which is held alongside the prestigious Women’s World 9-Ball Championship.
Wojciech Szewczyk will travel onto Indonesia fresh from becoming a two-time world 10-ball champion in Vietnam, joining Joshua Filler, Francisco Sanchez Ruiz, Fedor Gorst and Carlo Biado amongst the favourites for the $42,000 title.
Recent World 10-Ball Championship runner-up Eklent Kaci, Shane van Boening, WPA number one Daniel Maciol and Aloysius Yapp will also be involved, as will the likes of Jayson Shaw, David Alcaide, Alex Kazakis, Albin Ouschan and Moritz Neuhausen.
In addition, Vietnamese number one Duong Quoc Hoang, Naoyuki Oi, Robbie Capito and Pijus Labutis have entered, alongside the legendary Ralf Souquet, Darren Appleton, Kledio Kaci and Felix Vogel – the latter being a Pro Billiard Series event winner in Austria.
Teenage sensation Albert Januarta, Irsal Nasution, Edward Koyongian and Punguan Sihombing will be amongst the Indonesians involved, while the Philippines will be strongly represented by the likes of Jeffrey Ignacio, Jonas Magpantay, James Aranas, Lee Van Corteza, Roland Garcia, Roberto Gomez and Sean Mark Malayan.
It will be double elimination until 32 players remain and uses the Pro Billiard Series format, with three sets of race-to-four being contested. Should the third set be level at 3-3, a shootout will determine the winner.
Free main table coverage and additional coverage of three tables will be broadcast throughout the duration of the tournament via the Billiard TV website and Pro Billiard TV on YouTube, while Box Billiards Vietnam will show matches via their YouTube channel.
