The Reyes Cup returns from October 15-18 at the Makati Coliseum in Metro Manila, Philippines, as Asia seek a third consecutive title and renew rivalries with a star-studded Rest of the World.
Having emerged victorious in both previous editions of the event in emphatic fashion, Asia attempt to seal a three-peat against a much-improved Rest of the World team involving four world champions.
Carlo Biado, Duong Quoc Hoang and last year’s MVP in AJ Manas return for Francisco Bustamante’s outfit, accompanying rookies Robbie Capito and Albert Januarta in the Asian orange.
Joshua Filler, Shane van Boening and Aleksa Pecelj make their Reyes Cup bows for Ralf Souquet’s Rest of the World team, while newly-crowned two-time US Open champion Francisco Sanchez Ruiz and Fedor Gorst both return.
Proceedings will commence with a teams match on the first three days before rotating between singles and doubles. Each player is required to play at least once in the second, third or fourth matches on each given day.
Whichever team reaches eleven points quickest will reign victorious and claim the bragging rights, and captains will now be required to select a doubles pairing should the score be level at 10-10.
Coverage will be broadcast via OneSports in the Philippines, ESPN+ in the USA, and WNT TV in the USA, Vietnam, Indonesia, Spain and the UK amongst others, while additional broadcasters are available in different regions.
