Joshua Filler has added another piece of silverware to his bulging trophy cabinet with his triumph in beautiful Bali, Indonesia, defeating surprise finalist Mi Le in straight sets.

Halloween arrived ahead of schedule for the field in Bali this year. A ‘Killer’ was lurking in the air, ready to slay every man who came his way.

Filler dropped only three sets on his way to winning a third Predator Pro Billiard Series open title in four tournaments, which is even more impressive considering the sheer calibre of his opponents.

He mounted two amazing comebacks in the double elimination phase against Indonesian phenom Albert Januarta and Mosconi Cup mainstay David Alcaide to reach the last 32.

Once into the single elimination bracket, the German superstar shifted into overdrive, firstly sweeping away 2025 Qatar World Cup 10-Ball winner Jonas Magpantay before defeating France’s Fabio Rizzi in three sets.

The red-hot German continued his rampage, brushing away two former world champions, Carlo Biado in the quarter-finals and Francisco Sanchez Ruiz in the semi-finals, both in straight sets.

Awaiting him in the final was China’s Mi, who also went undefeated to the grand finale, notably defeating two Polish top stars, Wiktor Zielinski and Daniel Maciol.

His biggest breakout moment came in the semi-finals against Robbie Capito when he survived a shootout scare after missing the first ball to reach the final.

The final started slowly with safety exchanges. Filler showed the tactical upper hand and capitalised on Mi’s mistakes to claim three of the first four racks.

Refusing to go away quietly, Mi engineered an immediate retaliation, winning two racks in a row thanks to Filler’s positional slips.

With the first set hanging in the balance, Mi held ball-in-hand and looked poised to seal the frame, only to suffer an agonising miss on a routine eight-ball that gifted the opening set to Filler.

Unfortunately for Mi, that moment became the biggest turning point in the match. Smelling blood in the water, Filler unleashed total carnage in the second set, firing in two break-and-runs in an imperious 4–0 whitewash to extinguish any hope of a comeback for China’s representative.

The dominant campaign and the $42,000 cheque in Bali once again reaffirm Filler’s status as the most lethal front-runner in professional pool, not only in nine-ball but across all disciplines.
