Carlo Biado and Joshua Filler headline the respective teams ahead of the third staging of the Reyes Cup as Asia defend their title against the Rest of the World in Makati, Philippines.
Asia will be seeking a third straight title from October 15-18, having dominated the teams invitational since its 2024 inception, defeating Europe 11-6 two years ago and thrashing the Rest of the World 11-3 in 2025.
Reigning world champion Biado and Premier League Pool winner Duong Quoc Hoang remain ever-present on the Asian team, while Filipino phenom AJ Manas, last year’s MVP on debut, returns for his second successive appearance.
They will be accompanied by former UK Open champion and recent US Open runner-up Robbie Capito, as well as his fellow rookie in Indonesian teenage sensation Albert Januarta – a Premier League semi-finalist and Florida Open quarter-finalist.
Aloysius Yapp, the 2024 MVP, has been omitted despite being world number one, with Asian captain Francisco Bustamante naming Manas and Duong as his captain’s picks and Januarta receiving the World Nineball Tour wildcard.
Meanwhile, six-time Mosconi Cup champion Joshua Filler will be a rookie on the Rest of the World team, debuting alongside a long-time arch-rival in the legendary Shane van Boening.
Phoenix Open winner Aleksa Pecelj will also debut amongst the ROW ranks, receiving the World Nineball Tour wildcard selection following a sensational stateside stint, where the Serbian reached the Arizona Open final and the US Open semi-finals.
Reigning two-time US Open champion Francisco Sanchez Ruiz will make his third Reyes Cup appearance, while Fedor Gorst returns after receiving one of Rest of the World captain Ralf Souquet’s picks.
Souquet, a seven-time Mosconi Cup champion, will lead a star-studded Rest of the World team, having replaced Jeremy Jones following last year’s disastrous campaign in the Philippines.
