Michigan Open 2023: Draw, live scores, format, prize fund and how to watch

The Predator Pro Billiard Series returns this week following a four-month break as the 2023 Michigan Open takes place from September 20-23 at the Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek.

Following Wiktor Zielinski and Joshua Filler’s successes at the Las Vegas Open and Wisconsin Open respectively, the Michigan staging offers another opportunity for players to secure a lucrative 10-ball title.

Two-time champion Aloysius Yapp will act as the defending champion following back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023, while Fedor Gorst, Zielinski and Alexander Kazakis are also amongst the favourites.

Despite clashing with a World Nineball Tour ranking event in Connecticut, the tournament has attracted a stellar field, which also includes Albin Ouschan, former world 10-ball champion Wojciech Szewczyk, Max Lechner and Roland Garcia.

The $75,000 tournament will feature 64 players and is double elimination during the early stages, with 16 players advancing to the redrawn single elimination phase.

Predator’s Pro Series is known for its unique format as three sets of race-to-four are contested. Should the third set be level at 3-3, a shootout on the ten ball will be used to determine the winner.

Free coverage will be broadcast throughout the duration of the tournament via the Billiard TV website and World Billiard TV on YouTube, with the semi-finals and final held on Saturday evening local time.
