The Carrinho Women’s 10-Ball Open takes place at the Hotel Alpina Alpendorf in St Johann im Pongau from June 17-23 as the Predator Women’s Pro Billiard Series returns for its Austrian stop.
Following her success stateside in April at the St Louis Open, women’s world number one Jasmin Ouschan will be attempting to land another $27,000 prize, this time on home turf in Austria.
Eight women’s world champions will grace Austria, namely Ouschan, reigning world 9-ball champion Seo Seoa, Kristina Tkach, Kelly Fisher, Liu Shasha, Han Yu, Fu Xiaofang and Chou Chieh-Yu.
Other notable entrants include Pia Filler, Wei Tzu-Chien and Zhang Muyan, as well as Ina Kaplan, Bojana Sarac, Wang Wan-Ling and American teenage sensation Savannah Easton.
The Pro Billiard Series stop in Austria will be double elimination until 16 players remain and uses Predator’s unique format, with three sets of race-to-four being contested. Should the third set be level at 3-3, a shootout will determine the winner.
Players must sink the 10 ball when it is the lowest-numbered ball and with a proper call in order to win each rack, and the ball will be re-spotted should it be potted earlier.
Free coverage will be broadcast throughout the duration of the tournament via the Billiard TV websiteand Pro Billiard TV on YouTube.
