The World 8-Ball Championship as well as the Women’s World 10-Ball Championship will take place in Bali, Indonesia this October during a monumental week.
The Predator Pro Billiard Series have announced that two of the most significant tournaments in the sport will take place from October 7-13 alongside the newly-launched Men’s World 10-Ball Doubles Championship.
It will be the biggest events ever staged in Indonesia as the world’s largest archaeologic state hosts a world championship for the first time, highlighting the increasing interest the sport has developed in the country.
“Indonesia is one of the booming countries for pool,” said Predator’s Vincent Rochefort. “The energy, the passion, and the support from the community are incredible.
“We are thrilled to bring world-class tournaments here and invest long-term in this market. Hosting three of the most important events of the year in one week is a massive statement – for the fans, the players, and the sport as a whole.”
Joshua Filler will be defending his World 8-Ball Championship title, having beaten Taiwan’s Hsu Jui-An to scoop the $75,000 top prize last year, while Kristina Tkach will defend her Women’s World 10-Ball Championship title.
All three tournaments will clash with the World Nineball Tour’s Hanoi Open Pool Championship, which was already pencilled in for October 7-12, the same dates it took place during the previous two years.
