The Beasley Open returns to Raleigh, North Carolina from November 7-10 and the tournament held at Brass Tap and Billiards will be a World Nineball Tour ranking event for the first time.
Johann Chua, the 2023 champion, opted against travelling stateside to defend his title, with Singapore’s Aloysius Yapp, a winner of two US ranking titles this time last year, therefore being the top seed.
American Mosconi Cup team members Skyler Woodward, Tyler Styer and Billy Thorpe will also be amongst the field of 60-plus players, as their preparation continues for the upcoming trans-Atlantic battle.
Other notable entrants include Seattle Open champion Georgi Georgiev of Bulgaria and Canada’s John Morra, while two-time world champion Johnny Archer, BJ Ussery, Lukas Fracasso-Verner and Roberto Gomez are also involved.
The tournament will be double elimination, race-to-eight and winner breaks until 32 players remain, before the format increases to race-to-nine racks. Sunday’s final will be a race-to-13 contest.
Coverage will be watchable via the Pool Action TV website for those with an active subscription, with the event having $10,000-added prize money as well as an auction.
