Every player who has signed a WNT professional contract for the 2024 season has now been named, with 87 of the world’s top 100 having declared their allegiance to the World Nineball Tour.

Anyone who was situated inside the top 128 on the world nineball rankings following the 2023 season received a contract from the World Professional Nineball Pool Corporation (WPNPC), with only one player inside the top 32 opting against putting pen to paper.

Signing the contract ensures players are guaranteed spots at every open championship, including the US Open, and are considered for Matchroom invitationals, which includes the Mosconi Cup, World Pool Masters and incoming Reyes Cup.

Despite the 128 WNT professionals being committed to the tour, they will be eligible to enter other tournaments that do not clash with nineball majors, with players being given the leeway to compete at their own discretion.

Anyone who doesn’t sign the contract will be permitted to enter a maximum of just two open championships via qualifying events and they will not be eligible when it comes to qualifying for Matchroom’s invitational tournaments.

World number 29 Wojciech Szewczyk was the highest ranked player not to sign the contract, while his Polish compatriot Daniel Maciol and Spain’s Jose Delgado were the only other members of the world’s top 50 to decline the invitation.

Other notable names who will not be amongst the 2024 professionals include International Open semi-finalist Gerson Martinez and Portugal’s Miguel Silva as well as Poland’s Mateusz Sniegocki and Sebastian Batkowski.
