Matchroom Multi-Sport managing director Emily Frazer has teased an invite for former world snooker champion Judd Trump ahead of the upcoming World Pool Championship.

Trump, who made his debut in the nineball arena at the famous US Open Pool Championship two years ago, could be set to make an anticipated return between February 1-5 in Kielce, Poland.

Trump won his opening two matches against amateur players in Atlantic City before being thrashed 11-1 by current world number five Jayson Shaw in the third round.

His campaign came to a close in a deciding rack affair against South Africa’s Jason Theron, but Trump enjoyed the experience and vowed to return to the nineball scene at some point in the near future.

Frazer posted on her Facebook story on Monday morning following Trump’s victory over Mark Williams in the Masters snooker final, saying “Oi Oi Judd – nice win. See you Poland Feb 1st”.

Trump failing to qualify for snooker’s German Masters, which is scheduled to be held on the same dates as the World Pool Championship, could allow him to accept an invite for the prestigious tournament.

A number of invitations are handed out for the World Championship annually, with the top 100 in the nineball world rankings qualifying and the remaining 28 spots being either WPA or Matchroom invitees.
