SVB Junior Open 2022: Draw, live scores, format, prize fund and how to watch

by Absolute Pool • October 13, 2022

The inaugural SVB Junior Open will take place during the US Open Pool Championship in Atlantic City, involving the likes of prodigiously-talented youngsters Riku Rompannen, Khalid Al-Ghamdi and Joey Tate.

Rompannen, the 14-year-old from Finland, is a heavy favourite for the title following his breakthrough year on the nineball scene, while Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ghamdi also made strides at the recent European Open.

North Carolina’s Tate will be hoping to follow his exploits at the US Open, which saw him prove a tough test for five-time champion Shane van Boening.

European U18 champion Yannick Pongers from the Netherlands also features, as do highly-rated American teenagers Adrian Prasad, Landon Hollingsworth and Payne McBride as well as 11-year-old Savannah Easton.

Coverage of the semi-finals and final will broadcast live on Matchroom Pool’s YouTube channel to almost 200,000 subscribers.
