Spain’s Jonas Souto Comino doubled his World Nineball Tour ranking title tally after beating Skyler Woodward 13-12 in a thrilling Seattle Nineball Open final.
Having reigned victorious at last year’s Mexico Open, Souto Comino, now the world number 18, defeated the likes of Tyrel Blowers and John Morra on his way to the final in dominant fashion.
Woodward beat Tommy Tokoph, Stephen Holem and defending champion Georgi Georgiev in single elimination, but was ultimately denied in a closely-contested showpiece.
Souto Comino held his nerve in a two-and-a-half hour long contest to seal the $9,500 top prize, before heading to the McDermott Open in Connecticut and the Super Billiards Expo in Philadelphia.
Defending champion Georgiev bounced back from a winners qualification round loss to Payne McBride to reach the semi-finals, while Premier League star Edward Koyongian endured an 11-10 defeat in the last 16 at the hands of Blowers.
