The second staging of the Battle of the Bull takes place from September 25-28 at Wolf’s Den Billiards in Roanoke, Virginia, acting as the latest World Nineball Tour event on the calendar.
Following the success of Georgi Georgiev and Skyler Woodward at the recent Seattle Open and Pennsylvania Open, another opportunity awaits for someone to land their maiden WNT titles.
World number eight Shane van Boening will headline the field, which also includes Woodward, three-time ranking event winner Tyler Styer, Oscar Dominguez, Billy Thorpe and Shane Wolford.
Texas Open champion Vitaly Patsura will also be amongst those competing for the $17,000 top prize, as will Roberto Gomez, Roland Garcia and American teenager Sam Henderson.
It will be double elimination and race-to-eight racks until 32 players remain, when the format switches to single elimination and race-to-nine. Sunday’s final will be race-to-13 racks.
Coverage will be broadcast via the Pool Action TV website across the four days for those with an active subscription.
