The Medellin Open takes place from February 7-11 in Colombia and becomes the first ever World Nineball Tour ranking event to be held in South America.
Colombia hosts the third WNT ranking tournament of the season following the Chinese Taipei Open and the Derby City Classic, which were won by Jeffrey Ignacio and Joshua Filler respectively.
World number nine David Alcaide of Spain headlines the field for the ground-breaking tournament, which includes some of the continent’s untapped talents.
Connecticut Open champion Moritz Neuhausen has also travelled for the event, as have the likes of former Mosconi Cup star Oscar Dominguez, Britain’s Elliott Sanderson and Spain’s Jonas Souto Comino.
All matches will be race-to-nine, alternate break throughout the tournament, while coverage will be broadcast via the Matchroom Pool YouTube channel.
