The Qatar Open 9-Ball Championship will return for the first time in longer than a decade, with the 2023 edition boasting a $300,000 prize fund.
Having previously been held in 2008 and 2009, the 128-player tournament will take place from September 30 until October 8 at the Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation venue.
It follows in the China Open’s footsteps of not being recognised by the World Nineball Tour and instead the WPA, with the top 16 on their rankings receiving automatic invitations.
In addition, the tournament clashes with the semi-finals and final of the famous US Open Pool Championship, which takes place from September 25-30 in Atlantic City.
The eventual champion will pocket a lucrative $50,000 top prize, while the runner-up will take home $25,000 and the semi-finalists will earn $12,500 respectively.
Further information will be added as it’s announced
