The inaugural staging of the Pattaya Open takes place from March 2-6 as the World Nineball Tour visits Thailand for the first time for the $50,000 ranking tournament.
Vietnamese number one Duong Quoc Hoang will compete in his first WNT tournament since becoming the Premier League champion, headlining the 160-player field alongside US Open champion Aloysius Yapp.
World number four Johann Chua will travel to Thailand alongside a strong Filipino contingent, which also includes AJ Manas, Anton Raga, Jeffrey Ignacio, James Aranas, Alexis Ferrer, and 2010 World Masters champion Dennis Orcollo.
In addition, major champions Mickey Krause and Robbie Capito have entered, as have Chinese Taipei Open runner-up Ronel Nalaunan, Chang Yu-Lung, Kuo Po-Cheng and 2011 world champion Yukio Akagariyama of Japan.
Teenage sensation Albert Januarta, the recent Premier League semi-finalist, will represent Indonesia alongside the likes of his brother Andri Januarta, Edward Koyongian, Alvin Anggito and Punguan Sihombing.
It will be double elimination and race-to-nine racks until 64 players remain, when the single elimination and race-to-11 racks format comes into play through to Friday’s race-to-15 final, while coverage will be broadcast on WNT TV for subscribers.
