World 10-Ball Championship 2025: Draw, live scores, format, prize fund and how to watch

The 2025 World 10-Ball Championship takes place from September 20-28 at the Military Zone 7 Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City as the $250,000 tournament is held in Vietnam for the first time.

Carlo Biado will act as the defending champion, having defeated Japan’s Naoyuki Oi in last year’s final in Las Vegas, and the Filipino accompanies seven former champions in a star-studded lineup.

2021 and 2023 champion Eklent Kaci, who is the only player to win the title twice, will be one of the title favourites alongside the likes of Fedor Gorst, Joshua Filler and Shane van Boening – the latter two eyeing an historic world championship three-peat.

Brothers Ko Pin-Yi and Ko Ping-Chung will be eyeing further success, having won the event in 2015 and 2016 respectively, while 2022 winner Wojciech Szewczyk returns to the scene of his finest hour, fresh from his China Open success last weekend.

Duong Quoc Hoang will provide Vietnam’s most prominent hopes of home success as he competes in his hometown, while Phuong Nam Pham and qualifiers Nguyen Van Huynh and Nguyen Bao Chau will also represent Vietnam as they host a world championship for the first time.

Other notable players involved include US Open champion Aloysius Yapp, two-time runner-up Naoyuki Oi, 2024 semi-finalist Denis Grabe and WPA number one Alex Kazakis, as well as Albin Ouschan, Daniel Maciol, Robbie Capito and Kledio Kaci.

The $250,000 tournament, which rewards $70,000 to the eventual champion, will feature 96 players and is double elimination during the early stages, with 32 players advancing to the single elimination phase.

As has become the norm in Predator Pro Billiard Series events, the double elimination phase will be best-of-three sets of race-to-four racks and the single elimination best-of-five sets. A shootout will determine the winner should the score be 3-3 in the deciding set.

Free main table coverage will be broadcast throughout the duration of the tournament via the Billiard TV website and Pro Billiard TV on YouTube, while Box Billiards Vietnam will show every match via their YouTube channel.
