Bucharest Open 2025: Draw, live scores, format, prize fund and how to watch

The Mezz Bucharest Open takes place from June 6-8 at the IDM Club as the World Nineball Tour’s returns to Romania for its latest ranking tournament.

Mickey Krause landed his maiden WNT ranking accolade last year in Romania and progressed to become the European Open champion, although the Dane has skipped the event this year.

World number three Joshua Filler, Robbie Capito, Niels Feijen, Wiktor Zielinski and recent UK Open runner-up Jonas Souto Comino are therefore amongst the favourites to pocket the €10,000 top prize.

Other notable entrants include Albanian teenager Kledio Kaci, the legendary Ralf Souquet, Bulgaria’s Georgi Georgiev, Serbia’s Aleksa Pecelj, Hungary’s Oliver Szolnoki, Poland’s Hubert Lopotko and American Payne McBride.

Babken Melkonyan, Cristian Surdea and Flavian Glont are the most noteworthy Romanian players competing on home soil, while Fraser Patrick, Dean Shields and Tom Staveley are amongst the British contingent.

The Bucharest Open will be double elimination until 32 players remain in the reckoning, while the tournament will be race-to-nine, winner breaks throughout the duration.

Coverage will be broadcast on the Billiard Network YouTube channel across the weekend, with the final taking place on Sunday evening in the Romanian capital.
