The McDermott Open takes place from April 3-6 at the Yale Billiards hall in Wallingford, Connecticut, acting as the latest World Nineball Tour ranking tournament in a four-event stateside swing.
The inaugural edition of the bronze-ranked competition sees former world number one Francisco Sanchez Ruiz headline the field alongside fellow top ten stars Eklent Kaci, David Alcaide and Jayson Shaw.
Kaci’s younger brother Kledio has also travelled across the pond for multiple ranking events, while recent Seattle Open winner Jonas Souto Comino searches for back-to-back WNT titles in Connecticut.
Other notable entrants include former ranking event winner Georgi Georgiev, Lithuania’s Pijus Labutis, Canada’s John Morra, Indonesia’s Edward Koyongian and Andri Januarta, Italy’s Francesco Candela and the legendary Ralf Souquet.
Those competing on home soil include American teenager Sam Henderson, Hunter Lombardo, Chris Reinhold, Lukas Fracasso-Verner, Nathan Childress, Brandon Shuff and Jeremy Sossei.
Coverage will be broadcast via WNT TV throughout the weekend, with selected matches as well as Sunday’s finals being available to subscribers.
