The Seattle Nineball Open takes place from March 28-30 at Ox Billiards in Washington as 64 players compete in the latest World Nineball Tour ranking tournament in the United States.
Bulgaria’s Georgi Georgiev returns as the defending champion after beating Lukas Fracasso-Verner in last year’s inaugural final to secure his maiden World Nineball Tour ranking accolade.
Former Derby City Classic champion Skyler Woodward, the world number 16, returns from a back injury and headlines the field alongside the likes of Spain’s Jonas Souto Comino, Canada’s John Morra and American teenager Sam Henderson.
Indonesia’s Edward Koyongian has made the trip straight across the pond from his Premier League Pool debut in Bosnia and Herzegovina, travelling to Seattle alongside his countryman Andri Januarta.
Other notable entrants include Tommy Tokoph, Raymond Linares and Payne McBride, while Canada are well-represented by the likes of Joe Spence and Stephen Holem.
It will be race-to-nine racks during the double elimination phase and race-to-seven racks on the one-loss side, while it will be race-to-11 from the last 16 until the race-to-13 final.
Selected matches from the bronze ranking event will be broadcast via WNT TV throughout the weekend, including the final on Sunday evening.
