Reyes Cup 2024: Schedule, live scores, teams, format, prize fund and how to watch

History will be made from October 15-18 as Asian and European teams head to Manila, Philippines for the inaugural edition of the anticipated Reyes Cup at the Ninoy Aquino National Stadium.

Following the success of the Mosconi Cup between Europe and the USA, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last December, Asia and Europe begin rivalries in a battle celebrating the career of the legendary Efren Reyes.

Europe have won 12 of the last 14 editions of the Mosconi Cup and will be led into the Reyes Cup in the Filipino capital by four-time champion Karl Boyes, with the captain selecting Jayson Shaw and Francisco Sanchez Ruiz as his wildcards.

European Open champion Mickey Krause will pull on the European jersey for the first time in his career, joining Eklent Kaci and David Alcaide, who replaced Joshua Filler due to ‘concerns over contractual obligations’ in the event.

Asia, meanwhile, will be fittingly captained by Reyes, who selected Carlo Biado and Duong Quoc Hoang as his wildcard picks. Newly-crowned Hanoi Open champion Johann Chua, Aloysius Yapp and Ko Pin-Yi qualified via the World Nineball Tour one-year rankings.

The prestigious event will begin with a teams match on the first three days before rotating between singles and doubles. Each player must play at least once in the second, third or fourth matches on each given day, while captains cannot field the same doubles pairing twice.

Friday’s final day will be solely singles and, should proceedings be all square at 10-10 at the event’s conclusion, captains must select someone to represent their team in the decisive race-to-five.

Coverage will be broadcast via Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland, DAZN in the USA and Spain amongst other territories, OneSports in the Philippines and Vietcontent in Vietnam, while other broadcasters are available internationally.
