Hanoi Open Pool Championship 2023: Draw, live scores, format, prize fund and how to watch

The inaugural staging of the Hanoi Open Pool Championship takes place from October 10-15 at the Hanoi Indoor Games Gymnasium, with 256 players competing for $200,000 in prize money.

Following the success of the American, European, British and Spanish tournaments on the World Nineball Tour, Matchroom Pool bring their signature multi-table series to Vietnam’s capital city.

World number one Francisco Sanchez Ruiz headlines a star-studded field, which also involves newly-crowned US Open champion Ko Ping-Chung, Shane van Boening, Albin Ouschan and Jayson Shaw.

Mario He, Max Lechner, David Alcaide and Skyler Woodward are also amongst the field, while UK Open champion Eklent Kaci makes his anticipated return after missing the European Open and the US Open due to injury.

World Cup of Pool champions Johann Chua and James Aranas lead a strong continent of Filipino players, which also includes Carlo Biado, Anton Raga, Roland Garcia, Jeffrey De Luna and Michael Feliciano.

Vietnam will host an incredibly strong field despite a number of players opting against travelling, with notable absentees including Joshua Filler, Vietnamese number one Duong Quoc Hoang and numerous Polish players such as Wiktor Zielinski and Wojciech Szewczyk.

Coverage will be broadcast on Matchroom Pool’s social media platforms for the opening four days from 10am local time, with Sky Sports subsequently showing the final two days in the UK and Ireland.

DAZN will also provide coverage in the USA on days five and six, while Vietcontent and TAP will show the action in Vietnam and the Philippines respectively. A full list of global broadcasters can be found here.
