US Open Pool Championship 2023: Draw, live scores, format, prize fund and how to watch

The 2023 US Open Pool Championship takes place between September 26-30 at the Harrah’s Resort and Casino in Atlantic City as the longest-running major tournament returns.

World number one Francisco Sanchez Ruiz begins the defence of his prestigious accolade, with 256 players competing for $300,000 in prize money and the honour of lifting the iconic Barry Behrman trophy.

Shane van Boening will be seeking a record-breaking sixth US Open title, while 2019 champion Joshua Filler, Albin Ouschan, Fedor Gorst and Jayson Shaw will also be amongst the title favourites.

Newly-crowned European Open champion David Alcaide will be the only 2023 open major winner involved, with UK Open champion Eklent Kaci and Spanish Open winner Dang Jinhu opting against travelling stateside.

World Pool Masters champion Ko Pin-Yi is amongst the entrants as well as Wiktor Zielinski, Alexander Kazakis, last year’s runner-up Max Lechner, 2021 winner Carlo Biado and five-time champion Earl Strickland.

Coverage will be broadcast on Matchroom Pool’s social media platforms for the opening four days from 10am local time, with Sky Sports subsequently showing the final two days in the UK and Ireland.

DAZN will provide coverage in the USA throughout the duration, while TAP will show the action in the Philippines. A full list of global broadcasters can be found here.
