Niels Feijen doubled his 2023 ranking title tally following a second Balkan Nineball Tour success, defeating Luka Bulatovic to win the Loznica Open in Serbia.
Feijen, who defeated Sanjin Pehlivanovic to reign victorious at the Bosnia Open back in March, continued his impressive season on the Balkan Tour and pocketed the $3,600 top prize.
The Dutchman defeated Serbia’s Bulatovic 9-5 in the final, having overcome UK Junior Open champion Maks Benko 9-1 in the semi-finals and Greece’s Nikalaos Malai in a hill-hill affair in the quarter-finals.
Surprise package Bulatovic, meanwhile, pulled off shock victories over Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Ajdin Piknjac and Visoko Open champion Aleksa Pecelj prior to denying Faruk Terzic in the semi-finals.
Sanjin Pehlivanovic, the current world number 26, remains without an accolade on the Balkan Tour following a quarter-final exit at the hands of Bosnian countryman Terzic.
The 2023 Balkan Tour reaches its conclusion from October 28-29, with the Slovenia Open scheduled to take place in Ljubljana.
