A star-studded field have travelled for the tournament, which is the first of two smaller ranking events to be held stateside leading up to the prestigious US Open Pool Championship in Atlantic City.
World number one Francisco Sanchez Ruiz headlines the lineup for the $45,000 event, which also features newly-crowned European Open champion David Alcaide and two-time world champion Albin Ouschan.
In addition, former world champions Fedor Gorst, Carlo Biado, Mika Immonen and Darren Appleton will compete in New York, alongside the likes of Mario He, Wiktor Zielinski, Konrad Juszczyszyn, Mieszko Fortunski and Alexander Kazakis.
The tournament will be double elimination throughout its duration. Despite there being no single elimination phase, it will be fully in compliance with the WNT rules (break box, nine-on-the-spot and winner breaks).
It will be race-to-nine racks until the final on both sides of the draw. No shot clock will be in operation unless a referee uses their ability to enforce one during a slow-running match.
Coverage will be broadcast via AZB TV with their four-day subscription needed, while selected matches will also be shown via UpState Al on Facebook.
